The surf forecasters were predicting one of the steepest rises in swell events in recent years today, and boy did they get it right. At 2:30pm Tuncurry Beach was lapping on the shoreline looking more like a lake. By 3:30pm it was almost unsurfable with big wash through sets creating a very dangerous shore break. This image was captured during a period of about 20 minutes where it was at its sweet spot.
